Neue Abenteuer der berühmtesten Comic-Heldin Europas: Valentina. Ihr Schöpfer Guido Crepax prägte die Sprache der Comics maßgeblich und war einer der Ersten, der ab Mitte der 60er Jahre ausschließlich für ein erwachsenes Publikum arbeitete. Mit kühnen Sprüngen in der Erzählung und seiner unverwechselbaren Seitenarchitektur bewegt er sich dabei in Richtung Surrealismus. Und wie Umberto Eco, begeisterter Comicleser und -analyst, feststellte, nahm Crepax Anfang der 60er Jahre Stilmittel der „Nouvelle Vague“ im Film vorweg, indem er im Comic neuartige Seitenlayouts einführte, die ähnlich der filmischen Montage die Handlung in Bildsplitter, Großaufnahmen und Details auflöste und sogar Kamerafahrten imitierten. Valentina folgt keinen Regeln, Valentina ist die reine Lust und Crepax hat ihr eine Form gegeben: den schönsten Körper der Comic-Geschichte. Der dritte Band enthält Arbeiten aus den Jahren 1967 bis 1972 und damit weitere Höhepunkte der Reihe wie „Valentina in Stiefeln“; „Marianna – Es geht auf‘s Land“ und „Bonnie & Clyde“.
