Die Auffassung, dass ziviler Ungehorsam Demokratie und Rechtsstaat schadet, müssen wir demnach hinterfragen. Es geht nicht darum, alle Arten des zivilen Ungehorsams zu rechtfertigen, sondern zu lernen, seine demokratischen Äußerungen von autoritären zu unterscheiden. Akbarians These lautet, dass gelingende Formen des zivilen Ungehorsams als „Verfassungsinterpretation“ verstanden werden sollten.
