Nach dem Motto 'weniger ist mehr' werden konkrete und leicht umsetzbare Lernstrategien für die Grundfertigkeiten Rechnen, Lesen und Rechtschreiben, für die Lernfächer sowie für das Fach Englisch dargestellt. In der 12. Auflage wurden im praktischen Teil erneut die Methoden besonders in den Bereichen Rechnen, Rechtschreibung und dem Üben von Aufsätzen erweitert und insgesamt wiederum der aktuelle Stand der Forschung eingearbeitet.
